They’re food-grade and I’ve used them for hot chocolate many times — no chemical taste or smell that transfers to the drink. Lids snap on firmly enough that even if a kid tips the cup a bit, it usually doesn’t pour out. Cups hold heat well so chocolate stays warm without burning fingers too much (still supervise though).
